Education, Workshops and Outreach

Educational outreach is an important part of the overall programming at BPS.

Alongside our active visual arts programme, we offer opportunities for the local community via a number of educational initiatives. Over 2022/23, BPS has received funding from Southwark Council via the The Positive Futures For Young People Fund to bring workshops, projects and exhibition opportunities to children based in Southwark. Workshops are run by emerging artists and workshops leaders also based in Southwark.

In addition to workshops aimed at young people BPS hosts talks, seminars, ‘meet the artist’ events, and panel discussions in relation to the exhibitions programme. These are open to all and are announced through our Instagram page, Eventbrite, and here on the BPS website.

More workshops coming soon.

My Exhibition

July 2022

Bermondsey Project Space worked with Southwark Council and The Positive Futures For Young People Fund to bring you My Exhibition. This project aimed to empower young people to get involved in the arts and see the creative industries as a viable career path.

My Exhibition was a fully-funded opportunity for young people interested in the arts to exhibit their artwork in a professional gallery after a week of events, workshops and mentoring sessions.

More workshops and projects funded by Southwark Council, tailored for young Southwark based creatives, to be announced over 2022/23.
