THE UNIVERSITY OF BRIGHTON

The New Masters

28 – 30 July

Private view: Friday 28 July, 6 – 9pm

21 fine artists, 21 sets of questions

A research-based Masters in Fine Art has brought this group of creatives together. From the University of Brighton, this mix of graduating and current Masters students has reached a key moment of their artistic journey with a deeper understanding of their practices and the subject matters they explore.

From Brighton to Bermondsey, they bring a hugely varied selection of 2D, 3D and digital artworks. Working with the mediums of sculpture, assemblage, painting, drawing, photography, collage, electronic media, video, print, sound, and text, these individuals present 21+ pieces of themselves; their perspectives and their own sets of questions.

We invite you, for one weekend, to engage with this diverse and ambitious selection of artwork.

Exhibiting artists: Jenny Nelsons, Amy Austin, Amy King, Ava Thomas Cascarini, Beccy Bloomfeild, Charmine Evans, Debbie Lampton, Emma Scott-Child, Karen Strong, Catherine Amakars, Lindsay Connors, Mai Assi, Oriana Yates-Butcher, Paul Lewey, Polly Farrell, Poppy Baines, Sam Hobbs, Samantha Pattman, Shirley Archibaid, Urmi Roy, Wendy Smith.
